Police body cameras can dramatically reduce the number of complaints against officers, research suggests.
The Cambridge University study showed complaints by members of the public against officers fell by 93% over 12 months compared with the year before. Almost 2,000 officers across four UK forces and two US police departments were monitored for the project.

MI5 Files Reveal D-Day Operations Almost Compromised
A row between a spy and his wife almost compromised World War Two D-Day operations, secret MI5 files show.
Juan Pujol, who was codenamed Agent Garbo, had helped to convince the Nazis the landings would not take place in Normandy but in the Pas-de-Calais. But after being confined to their London house to protect his identity, his wife threatened to go to the Spanish embassy in a row in June 1943. She said she would tell all unless she was allowed to visit her mother.

Dutch-Led Prosecutors Claim Missile That Crashed Flight MH17 Came From Russia
International prosecutors investigating the downing of flight MH17 over eastern Ukraine in 2014 say the missile that hit the plane was fired from territory controlled by Russian-backed rebels.
They said the missile launcher was brought into Ukraine from Russia.
All 298 people on board the Boeing 777 died when it broke apart in midair flying from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur.

20 Year Old In Custody For Shopping Mall Shootings Confesses
Prosecutors in the US state of Washington say a 20-year-old man in custody has confessed to going on a murderous rampage in a shopping centre, which left five people dead.
Arcan Cetin was arrested in his hometown Oak Harbor on Saturday, nearly 24 hours after the attack in Burlington, 40 minutes' drive away. He was born in Turkey and is a legal US permanent resident, officials say.
Investigators say they are not ruling out any motives, including terrorism. Cetin's stepfather says he has a history of mental health issues.

Men Appear In Court After Discovery Of Home Made Bomb
Four men are due to appear at Craigavon Magistrates Court later charged over an armour-piercing mortar found during searches in Lurgan.
The men were arrested last week by police investigating dissident republican activity in the area. Three, aged 22, 24 and 46, are charged with targeting a former member of the security forces in the Craigavon area. The fourth, aged 22, is charged with the attempted murder of police officers and possessing explosives with intent.
Police recovered an armour-piercing mortar during searches in Lurgan.

Third Mexican Catholic Priest Found Dead In One Week
A Roman Catholic priest who was kidnapped in western Mexico a week ago has been found shot dead.
The body of Jose Alfredo Lopez Guillen was found late on Saturday near the town of Puruandiro in Michoacan state, prosecutors said. He is the third priest to be found murdered in Mexico in the past week.
Father Lopez Guillen had been robbed before being abducted from his home last Monday in Janamuato, Michoacan state, Church officials said. The Michoacan prosecutor's office said a post-mortem examination showed the priest had been killed several days before his body was found.

Eight Chinese Military Aircraft Fly Between Japanese Islands
Japan says it scrambled fighter jets on Sunday after eight Chinese military aircraft flew between Japanese islands.
The planes, thought to be bombers, surveillance planes and one fighter jet, flew along the Miyako Straits, between Okinawa and Miyakojima.
China said about 40 of its aircraft had been involved in what it said was a routine drill. The planes did not cross into Japanese airspace, but the move is being seen as a show of force by China. It comes one week after Japan said it would take part in joint training exercises with the US navy in the South China Sea.

Putin Appoints Former Parliament Speaker As Head Of Foreign Intelligence Service
Russian President Vladimir Putin has appointed the country's former parliament speaker as head of its foreign intelligence service.
Sergei Naryshkin is a longstanding Putin ally and reportedly served alongside the president at the KGB, Russia's Soviet-era security service. Mr Naryshkin previously served as the president's chief of staff. His appointment comes amid reports that Mr Putin intends to combine Russia's intelligence services.

India To Buy 36 Rafale Fighter Jets In Deal With France
India has signed a formal agreement with France to buy 36 Rafale fighter jets for $8.7bn (7.8bn euros; £6.7bn), in a major defence deal.
Indian Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar and his French counterpart Jean-Yves Le Drian signed the agreement in Delhi on Friday. PM Narendra Modi had announced the purchase in January.
India is looking to modernise its Soviet-era military and the deal is the result of years of negotiation. "You can only ever be completely sure once \[the deal\] has been signed and that's what happened today," Mr Le Drian told AFP news agency after Friday's signing ceremony.

Data Stolen From 500 Million Yahoo Users In 2014
Yahoo says "state-sponsored" hackers stole information from about 500 million users in what appears to be the largest publicly disclosed cyber-breach in history.
The breach included swathes of personal information, including names and emails, as well as “unencrypted security questions and answers”. The hack took place in 2014 but has only now been made public. The FBI has confirmed it is investigating the claims.
