    German police have raided premises nationwide linked to an anti-Semitic far-right movement called Reichsbürger (Citizens of the Reich).

    Neo-Nazi propaganda and firearms were seized in the raids, in 10 of Germany's 16 states. The targeted group, "United German Peoples and Tribes", is part of Reichsbürger, whose members reject the German state as a legal entity.

    The interior ministry said racism "even in times of crisis" would be combated.

  • Brother Of Arena Bomber Found Guilty

    The brother of Manchester Arena bomber Salman Abedi has been found guilty of murdering 22 people.

    Hashem Abedi had denied helping to plan the "sudden and lethal" blast which killed or injured "nearly 1,000".

    The Old Bailey heard the pair worked together to source materials used in the suicide blast after an Ariana Grande show at the venue.   • Civilians May Have Been Killed By Airstrikes In Iraq And Syria

    There is "credible" evidence British airstrikes against the Islamic State group have killed civilians in Iraq and Syria, the US military has said.

    The Ministry of Defence has continued to deny American reports that some RAF airstrikes against IS have harmed civilians.

    The RAF has deployed 4,409 bombs and missiles in the five-year war with IS. The MoD's approach to identifying civilian casualties has been described as "not fit for purpose".

  • British Army Medic And Two American Soldiers Killed In Rocket Attack At Military Base

    Three people have been killed after a base hosting US and UK troops in Iraq was hit by a rocket attack.

    At least 12 people were injured in the attack on the Taji military camp, north of Baghdad.

    US military sources said an American soldier, an American contractor and a British soldier were killed. No names have yet been released.

  • Four Teenagers Stabbed In East London

    Four teenage boys have been taken to hospital after being stabbed in east London.

    Police said seven people had been arrested after "multiple" stabbings in Thornbury Way, Walthamstow, at about 21:00 GMT on Wednesday. None of those taken to hospital have sustained life-threatening injuries, according to the Met Police.

    Scotland Yard said there was "no risk to members of the public" and it was thought to be "an isolated incident".

    Roads in and around Thornbury Way have been closed as the investigation continues.

  • Fighter Jet Crashes In Islamabad During Parade Rehearsal

    A Pakistan Air Force (PAF) F-16 fighter jet has crashed near a park in the capital Islamabad, killing the pilot.

    In a statement, the PAF said the aircraft was carrying out rehearsals for the 23 March national day parade. Police and security forces swiftly cordoned off the site in the Shakarparian area, near several museums, golf clubs and Jinnah Stadium.

    The PAF said the pilot Wing Commander Noman Akram died in the crash. What caused it was not immediately clear.

    The air force said it had ordered an inquiry.

  • £10m In Cash Stolen From Santiago Airport, Chile

    Police in Chile are searching for members of an armed gang who stole a cash shipment worth about $15m (£11.5m) from a warehouse at Santiago airport.

    At least seven men entered the cargo area of the airport where the cash was stored and forced the security guards to hand the money over at gunpoint. They used two vehicles, one painted in the colours and with the logo of courier company DHL.

    Police say they suspect the gang had "inside information".

  • Typhoons Scrambled As Russian Bombers Approach British Airspace

    Six RAF fighter jets were scrambled to intercept Russian aircraft as they approached British airspace, the Ministry of Defence has said.

    The Russian bombers were tracked heading towards the north-west coast of Scotland on Saturday. It prompted the air force to deploy three pairs of Typhoons from its Quick Reaction Alert programme.

    Two pairs left from RAF Lossiemouth in Moray, while the third flew from RAF Coningsby in Lincolnshire.

    Flying in formation, two pairs approached the aircraft before withdrawing, while the third pair forced them to change course.

  • Suspicious Man Shot Dead By Police In Westminster

    A knifeman has been shot dead by armed police officers in central London.

    The man was seen "acting suspiciously" in Westminster, at 23:25 GMT on Sunday, and pulled out two knives when he was challenged by officers on patrol, Scotland Yard said.

    Armed officers responded and a Taser and gun were fired. The man was confirmed dead by the London Ambulance Service in Great Scotland Yard but the incident is not being treated as terror related.

    No members of the public or police officers were injured and inquires are ongoing, the Met said. A number of road closures remain in place in the area.

  • Bomb Alert As Explosives Found In Luton

    A suspicious device found in a car in Luton has been deemed "not viable" by a bomb disposal team.

    Police were called to Brook Street at about 07:20 GMT to reports of concern for a man in a vehicle.

    Officers found a suspicious device in the car in Dunstable Road and the explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) team was called, Bedfordshire Police said.
