Russia has developed a new cruise missile that is invincible, according to President Vladimir Putin.
Mr Putin made the revelation as he laid out his key policies for a fourth presidential term, ahead of an election he is expected to win in 17 days' time.
He showcased a range of new weapons, including the cruise missile that could "reach anywhere in the world". Using video presentations, he said the missile could not be stopped by the US shield in Europe and Asia.

Northern Ireland Terror Threat Reduced
The threat level from Northern Ireland-related terrorism has been reduced from substantial to moderate in mainland Britain, MI5 says.
The new level means that an attack is considered possible but unlikely. It is the second lowest rating.
The reduction applies to England, Scotland and Wales. The threat level in Northern Ireland remains severe, where an attack is considered highly likely.
The threat from international terrorism also remains at severe.

Village In Germany To Keep 'Nazi Bell'
A village in Germany has voted to keep a controversial church bell embossed with a swastika and the words "All for the Fatherland - Adolf Hitler".
The parish council of Herxheim argued that the Nazi-era bronze bell acted as a reminder for the nation's dark past.
The 10-3 vote on Monday rejected an offer to remove and replace the bell by the Protestant Church of St James.
Some parishioners were alarmed to find they had been married or had baptised their children under the "Hitler bell".

UN Report Claims North Korea Is Sending Equipment To Syria That Is Used In Chemical Weapons
North Korea has been sending equipment to Syria that could be used to make chemical weapons, a UN report says.
Some 40 previously unreported shipments were made between 2012 and 2017, the report found. Materials included acid-resistant tiles, valves and pipes. The report - yet to be released - said N Korean missile specialists had been seen at Syrian weapon-making centres. The allegations follow new reports of chlorine being used by Syrian forces, which the government denies.

Slovak Investigative Journalist Killed In A Suspected Assassination
A Slovak investigative journalist and his partner have been murdered in a suspected assassination linked to the journalist's work.
Jan Kuciak, 27, and Martina Kusnirova were shot dead at the weekend at home in Velka Maca, a village 65km (40 miles) east of the capital Bratislava. It was "most likely related to the journalist's investigative work", a police commander said.
Kuciak had written about alleged tax fraud involving luxury apartments.

Saudi Arabia has sacked its top military commanders, including the chief of staff, in a series of late-night royal decrees.
Saudi King Salman also replaced the heads of the ground forces and air defences. The news was published by the official Saudi Press Agency (SPA), but no reason for the sackings was given. They come as the war in Yemen, where a Saudi-led coalition is fighting rebels, is nearing the end of its third year.
Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who is also the defence minister, is believed to be behind various recent shake-ups in the country.

Court In Iraq Sentences Women To Death For Joining IS
An Iraqi court has sentenced at least 15 Turkish women to death by hanging, after they were found guilty of joining the Islamic State group (IS).
Some reports say 16 women were handed the death penalty, while others say one was jailed for life.
The women confessed to marrying IS fighters or providing the group "with logistical aid or helping them carry out terrorist attacks", the judge said.
Thousands of foreigners have fought and died for IS in Iraq and Syria.

Israel helped avert an alleged terror plot in Australia to bring down a plane last year, both nations have confirmed.
Last July, Australian police charged two brothers over an alleged plan to blow up an Etihad Airways flight travelling from Sydney to Abu Dhabi.
In a speech in Jerusalem on Wednesday, Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu credited his nation's intelligence agencies with preventing "an unimaginable slaughter". Authorities have said the alleged plot was linked to the Islamic State group.

Explosive Device Thrown At US Embassy In Montenegro
There has been an explosion at the US embassy in Montenegro, officials say.
An attacker threw an explosive device into the compound in the capital Podgorica at around midnight (23:00 GMT), before killing himself, the government announced.
Local media have named a Serbian-born local resident as a suspect, but this is unconfirmed by authorities.
The government said the device thrown was likely a hand grenade. No other injuries have been reported. The US embassy said all staff were safe following the incident. No-one has said what the motive could be.
