US 'locked and loaded' Trump Warns North Korea
President Donald Trump says the US military is "locked and loaded" to deal with North Korea, ramping up the rhetorical brinkmanship.
"Military solutions are now fully in place, locked and loaded, should North Korea act unwisely. Hopefully Kim Jong-un will find another path!" he tweeted. He spoke as North Korea accused him of "driving" the Korean peninsula to the "brink of a nuclear war".

Police Called to Borough Market After Suspicious Substance Delivered
Three people were injured after an envelope containing an "unidentified substance" was delivered to a business in London's Borough Market.
Police, paramedics and firefighters were all called after the package was discovered at Feng Sushi in Stoney Street at about 13:40 BST.
The building was evacuated as a precaution but Scotland Yard said it was not treating the incident as terror related. No arrests have been made.
The three people all suffered minor injuries and were treated at the scene by London Ambulance Service.

Missiles Ready In A Matter Of Days Reports North Korea
North Korea says a plan that could see it fire four missiles near the US territory of Guam will be ready in a matter of days.
State media said Hwasong-12 rockets would pass over Japan and land in the sea about 30km (17 miles) from Guam, if the plan was approved by Kim Jong-un.
It denounced Donald Trump's warnings of "fire and fury" and said the US leader was "bereft of reason". The US has warned the North its actions could mean the "end of its regime".

Trump Threatens North Korea With 'Fire & Fury'
North Korea has said it is considering carrying out missile strikes on the US Pacific territory of Guam.
The North's official news agency said it was considering a plan to fire medium-to-long-range rockets at Guam, where US strategic bombers are based.
It quoted an earlier military statement from Tuesday. President Donald Trump threatened Pyongyang with "fire and fury" on the same day. The exchanges mark a sharp rise in rhetoric between the two countries.

French Soldiers Struck By Car In Deliberate Attack
A car has struck a group of soldiers in Paris, injuring six, two seriously, police say.
An urgent police operation is now under way to find the vehicle - reportedly a BMW - and driver involved in the incident in the north-western suburb of Levallois-Perret.
The Paris prosecutor says the anti-terror unit is investigating what happened. France has been under a state of emergency since November 2015.

Venezuela Warned By UN
The United Nations Human Rights Office has warned of "widespread and systematic use of excessive force" being used against protesters in Venezuela.
It also speaks of other human rights violations, including "violent house raids, torture and ill-treatment". It says that the security forces are allegedly responsible for at least 46 deaths which occurred in protest-related violence.

Many Shia Militia Killed Near Syrian Border
Dozens of Shia militiamen have been killed in an attack in Iraq close to the border with Syria, reports say.
There are conflicting accounts as to what happened. The group said US aircraft were to blame, though the US-led coalition denied this.
So-called Islamic State (IS) has said it killed scores of Iraqi troops in an ambush in the area. Iranian-backed militia and the US-led coalition are fighting separate campaigns against IS in Iraq. More than 30 fighters were killed and 85 wounded in the incident on Monday, reports say.

Drones Will Be Shot Down By US Military
The Pentagon has given US military bases permission to shoot down or otherwise destroy consumer drones flying overhead and nearby.
A spokesman revealed that guidance was issued on 4 August. He said the exact terms of the policy were classified.
The move comes days after the US Army ordered its own troops to stop using drones made by Chinese manufacturer DJI because of alleged "cyber-vulnerabilities". It became illegal to fly personal drones within 400ft (122m) of the US's 133 military facilities in April.

Knifeman Arrested By Police At The Eiffel Tower
A man is being held by police in Paris after he tried to force his way into the Eiffel Tower brandishing a knife.
He was "very quickly overpowered and arrested" and no-one was hurt, the company that runs the landmark said.
France has been under a state of emergency since the November 2015 attacks in the capital that left 130 people dead.
The incident at the Eiffel tower happened at 23:30 pm (21:30 GMT) on Saturday night. After the arrest, police evacuated the tower.

North Korea reports 'the US will pay the price' For Drafting In New Sanctions
North Korea has vowed to retaliate and make "the US pay a price" for drafting fresh UN sanctions over its banned nuclear weapons programme.
The sanctions, which were unanimously passed by the UN on Saturday, were a "violent violation of our sovereignty," the official KCNA news agency said.
Separately, South Korea says the North has rejected an offer to restart talks, dismissing it as insincere. The sanctions will aim to reduce North Korea's export revenues by a third.
The UN Security Council decision followed repeated missile tests by the North which have escalated tensions on the peninsula.
