Disturbance At HMP The Mount
Riot-trained prison staff were sent to a jail amid reports of violence on two wings.
Sources earlier said that one wing of HMP The Mount in Hertfordshire and half of another wing had been "lost".
The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) later said the incident was "resolved" and no staff or prisoners had been injured. A report into the jail published earlier highlighted staffing problems and said violence was an issue.
The Mount, in Bovingdon village near Hemel Hempstead, opened in 1987 and is classed as a category C male prison.

No Call For UN Meeting Over North Korea's Missile Tests
The US says it will not call for a UN Security Council meeting over North Korea's missile tests because it would produce "nothing of consequence".
Such a meeting would send a message to North Korea that the international community was unwilling to challenge it, US Ambassador Nikki Haley said.
Pyongyang said its tests proved that the entire US was within range.
The US has responded by testing an anti-missile system and flying bombers over the Korean peninsula.

Australian Police Search Properties Linked With Suspected Terror Plot
Australian police are searching five properties in Sydney over a suspected terrorism plot to bring down a plane.
Four men were arrested in raids across the city late on Saturday. Police said they had seized materials that could have been used to make an explosive device. Local media said the plot may have involved a meat mincer.
The men can be held for seven days without charge after a magistrate granted police special counter-terrorism powers. The suspects are reported to include a father and his adult son.

Australian Man Shot By Police Not Terror Related
A man has been shot dead by police after a confrontation outside Australia's busiest railway station.
The incident happened near a flower shop at one of the main entrances to Sydney's Central station during peak-hour on Wednesday evening.
Police had been called following reports of an armed robbery, and the man was killed a short time later. New South Wales Police said the incident was not terrorism-related.
Witnesses told local media the man had been armed with scissors when he was shot dead.

Boko Haram Ambush Leaves More Than 40 Dead
More than 40 people have died in north-east Nigeria during an attempt to free people who had been ambushed in a convoy by militant Islamist group Boko Haram, sources have said.
At least five members of an oil exploration team were killed and soldiers also died. Army chiefs have now been ordered to relocate to the affected area.
The high number of casualties will be a blow for the government, which insists the insurgency is all but defeated.

Cyber-thieves have made at least $25m (£19m) from ransomware in the last two years, suggests research by Google.
The search giant created thousands of virtual victims of ransomware to expose the payment ecosystem surrounding the malware type.
Most of the money was made in 2016 as gangs realised how lucrative it was, revealed a talk at Black Hat.
Two types of ransomware made most of the money, it said, but other variants are starting to emerge.

A court hearing to decide how long Ciarán Maxwell will serve in prison is taking place at the Old Bailey. The court heard that four of the pipe bombs were used in Northern Ireland - and two detonated.

National Crime Agency To Guide Teenagers On Cyber Attacks
Teenagers caught carrying out hacking and cyber-attacks could soon be attending a rehab camp that aims to divert them away from a life of crime.
The first weekend camp for offenders was held in Bristol this month as part of the National Crime Agency's (NCA) work with young computer criminals. Attendees learned about responsible use of cyber-skills and got advice about careers in computer security.
If the trial proves successful, it will be rolled out across the UK.

Teenager Arrested At Stansted Airport On Terror Charges
A 16-year-old boy has been arrested at Stansted Airport on suspicion of terrorism offences.
The teenager, from the Kent area, was due on a flight leaving the UK, and was arrested on Sunday afternoon.
He was arrested on suspicion of the collection of information likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism.
He is currently in police custody and was detained under the Police and Criminal Evidence Act (PACE).
